Scott Sklar recently served as a panelist at the Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo. The event took place on December 13th, 2012, and Scott was joined on the panel by General Wesley Clark, former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO forces in Europe. They discussed renewable energy’s growing role in military operations, with the following description of the panel:
More than ever, the United States military is looking to renewable energy as a way to save lives and gain a tactical advantage in hostile areas across the globe. From micro-grids capable of powering forward operating bases to systems that become part of each soldier’s toolkit, these advancements both reduce vulnerability and increase mission effectiveness.
This mega-session will pull together military officials past and present and some of the top executives that are working to develop this emerging partnership.
